| Impact Statement | Who we are: Steer Friends is a day program located in the heart of Stouffville. Our program supports youth and adults with disabilities and complex care needs across York Region and the GTA. We serve a diverse group of individuals including those living with cerebral palsy, autism, genetic and seizure disorders. Many of our friends have graduated high school and our program provides a space where they can thrive and continue to be a part of the community. At Steer Friends, our goal is to empower and enrich lives through stimulation activities including art exploration, skills acquisition, community involvement and therapies. We focus on the needs of each individual as we support their personal growth and well-being. We are committed to going the extra mile to deliver daytime care and support that goes beyond the necessities of our special friends. |
| Description |
Volunteers needed: we hope that you will be able to support during our major fundraiser – Steering for Steer Friends which will be held at Markham Fairgrounds on Saturday June 24, 2023. This is a stellar Car Show featuring approximately 2000 cars with our Special Guest for this year’s show: Award-Winning Dave Kindig and Kev Dogg from Kindig-it Design We need people to: assist cars with parking and entering the event, answer questions, sell raffle tickets and so much more |
